Development strategy of Prijedor municipality for the period 2008-2013 had been adopted on the 43. assembly session and 111 projects are theme of the strategy with their total value of 1,2 milliards KM.

“ I consider that this strategy is key document and starting basis for all future investors that are willing to invest in our municipality. Our strategy was created thank to own strengths and you could find ideas, projects and programs of domestic institutions with existing human and natural resources in it “ –said Mayor-Marko Pavić .

He confirmed that municipality contribute with 129 millions for those 111 projects that means 9,2 % from budget means.

“Four strategic goals are presented in strategy and great financial means are for infrastructure projects. Municipality contributes with 5% of budget means.”- said Pavic and added that 20% of budget means are for the area of economy development, small and medium enterprises development and entrepreneurship, 50% of budget means are for agriculture development and 25 % of budget means are for social care.

„According to current situation and problems founded , strategic goals, programs and project were created”- said professor of Banja Luka Faculty of Economy , Zdravko Todorovic, by adding that strategy is alive document that could be changed in all phases of project realization in practice.

Above 300 experts participated in strategy creation: Its methodology is WB Methodology. Beside municipal budget means, means from following foundation were also planned: EU pre-accession funds, cross-border programs, PPP , development programs of RS Government and Council of ministers.
