Constitutive Conference of ALVRS thematic boards-Banja Luka
Constitutive Conference of thematic boards of ALVR was held On 9 of July 2008 in Banja Luka where working programs and other details were agreed and it will be subject of following activities. Working procedures of boards was also adopted and all deputy presidents were elected
New service which is on disposal to ALVRS members is thematic boards of ALVRS.
Partners of ALVRS that helping association work for many years were on conference Agenda, which means representatives of sister organizations –VNG International (Dutch association of local communities) and its project manager spoke about board work in modern association like VNG. Also, Secretary general of Standing conference of municipalities and towns of Serbia was presented and he spoke about experiences in his organization when it is question about boards. Mrs. Zorica Vukelic , executive director of mentioned organization met participants with working details in the field of boards.
Boards are new service of ALVRS to its members.
Namely, thematic boards of ALVRS are working bodies that gathering municipal and city representatives on crucial issues from local self-government competences in order to exchange of experiences and formulation of legislative and other initiatives for better position and functioning of LSG units.
Boards are closely cooperate with Presidency, on the way that dealing with issues that are going to be subject of Presidency initiative from the aspect if its domain and by stressing to Presidency what have to be subject of dialogue with central government representatives.
Boards shall make report to Presidency. They could also to send their initiatives to different state bodies independently and they are acting according to existing ministries areas or areas of RS Parliament Boards.
According to the Association Statute , boards have meetings two times per year at least.
Association Secretariat is supporting Board work, first of all Board Secretary, but in their work, domestic and foreign experts will be included too.
